Accessibility at RISE

RISE is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all
attendees. We recognize the needs of guests with disabilities and strive to ensure that everyone
has the opportunity to enjoy the festival. Below is an overview of our ADA accommodations and
services.

Getting to the Festival

Parking:

  • ADA parking is available in designated areas near the festival entrance.
  • A valid, government-issued ADA parking placard or license plate is required.
  • Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accessible Routes & Grounds

  • The festival takes place on the Jean Dry Lake Bed, which consists of rugged, uneven desert terrain.
  • Accessible pathways are maintained in key areas, including entrances, main walkways,
    and ADA-designated viewing areas.
  • Off-road wheelchairs and other mobility devices designed for rough terrain are recommended.

ADA Viewing Areas

  • Designated ADA viewing areas will be available near the main stage and lantern launch area.
  • Space is reserved for guests who require accessible seating and one companion.
  • Seating is not provided, but guests may bring their own chairs if needed.

Restrooms

  • ADA-accessible restrooms will be available throughout the festival site.
  • These restrooms will be clearly marked on festival maps and near ADA viewing areas.

Service Animals

  • Service animals trained to assist individuals with disabilities are welcome at RISE
    Lantern Festival.
  • Comfort, emotional support, and therapy animals do not qualify as service animals and
    will not be permitted.
  • Handlers must maintain control of their service animals at all times.

Communication & Assistance

ASL Interpretation:

  • ASL interpretation will be available for key performances and festival announcements
    upon request.
  • Guests requiring interpretation services should contact us at least two weeks in
    advance.

Assistance Requests & On-Site Support:

  • ADA guest services tents will be located at the festival entrance and key locations.
  • Staff will be available to provide information and assistance throughout the event.

Medical & Accessibility Services

  • First aid stations will be available on-site, staffed with medical personnel.
  • Guests with specific medical needs should contact us in advance to make arrangements.

How to Request Accommodations

  • All ADA guests should advise us they are attending by emailing us at hello@RISEfestival.com.
  • If you require additional accommodations or have any accessibility-related questions, contact
    our ADA Coordinator at least two weeks prior to the event.
